Malcome Xは黒人の解放を、Harvey MilkはLGBTQの権利を、John Lenonは、世界に愛と平和を訴えた。1960年代から70年代にかけて、若者を中心にHippieやPunkなど様々なカウンターカルチャーが誕生し、それらはArt、Music、そしてFashionにおいて表現の自由をもたらした。
Malcolm X advocated for the liberation of black people, Harvey Milk for LGBTQ rights, and John Lennon for love and peace in the world. From the 1960s to the 1970s, various counter cultures such as Hippie and Punk emerged, primarily among young people. They brought about freedom of expression in art, music, and fashion.

1970年、カウボーイをターゲットとし、Levi's社によって発表されたブーツカット品番517。その需要は時代が流れると共に、若者に支持され、反戦の象徴からサイケデリックロックの代名詞、そしてサーファーやスケーターの日常着として在り方を変えていった。
In 1970, Levi's released the bootcut model that lot number 517, targeting cowboys. Over time, the demand for it was supported by young people, and it transitioned from a symbol of anti-war to a synonym of psychedelic rock, and then to lifestyle wear for surfers and skaters.

70年代の後半に差し掛かると、よりコストと合理性を重視する生産背景に移り変わり、生地や縫製仕様など同モデル内でマイナーチェンジが繰り返されていった。私達は、1970年代初頭から中盤のオリジナルヴィンテージを多数所有し、年号毎に生地の分析や型紙、縫製仕様の違いなどを研究し、私達が考えるプロダクトとして最も優れた時期の同モデルを、日本の職人達と手を組み、製作しています。
In the latter half of the 1970s, the production background shifted to one that placed more emphasis on cost and rationality, and minor changes were made to the model, such as fabric and sewing specifications. We own many original vintage jeans from the early to mid-1970s, and we research the differences in notable fabric analysis, patterns, and sewing specifications for each year. We work with Japanese craftsmen to recreate the same models from the best period of the product.

ヴィンテージのジーンズの特徴として、最も挙げられるのが、生地。生地上を縦に走る細い線をVintage界隈では、"縦落ち"と呼びます。デッドストックと呼ばれる当時の未使用品を元に、岡山の老舗デニムメーカーによって開発された生地は、当時と同じ染色方法、織機を用いヴィンテージジーンズの代名詞である綺麗な縦落ちと迫力のあるアタリを生みます。
The most notable feature of vintage jeans is the fabric. In the vintage world, the thin lines running vertically on the fabric are called "vertical fading". The fabric was developed by a long-established denim manufacturer in Okayama, using unused items from that time, known as dead stock. They use the same dyeing method and loom from that time to produce the beautiful vertical fading synonymous with vintage jeans.

また縫製についても、当時使用されていたSingerやUnion Specialといった希少なヴィンテージミシンを使い、それでしか成し得ないアタリやパッカリングを表現しています。その他、縫製仕様、運針、糸のテンション感など細部に至るまで拘りをもって、一本ずつ制作をしています。
For sewing, we also use rare vintage sewing machines such as Singer and Union Special that were used at the time to express the puckering that can only be achieved with them. In addition, we pay attention to every detail, such as sewing specifications, stitching, and thread tension, and produce each pair one by one.
